An Evening with Pauls Bankovskis

15 March, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

International Writers and Translators House of Latvia is delighted to welcome Latvia’s talented author to perform in the UK. Pauls Bankovskis will read a translation of his latest novel ‘18’, which will be published by Vagabond Voices in the UK. The novel forms a diary between two writers — one is an eyewitness of the war events of 1917—1918, whereas the other lives in the present day. One of them can only guess what the next day will bring, whereas the other tries to understand the past and its relation to today’s reality. Translator of novel ‘18’ is Ieva Lešinska-Geibere.

Join us for enlightening and thought provoking evening on 15 March at 6:30pm at the Latvian Embassy. The discussion will be chaired by artist Simon Purins.

Booking is essential as places are limited. https://vagabondvoices.
