BAFTA Kids Preview: Night Zookeeper

Sat 16 March @ 1:00 pm

New animated series for Sky Kids inspired by BAFTA-nominated learning resource, Night Zookeeper, which encourages children to design and write about magical animals.

Night Zookeeper is a primary teaching resource and was nominated in 2015 at BAFTA’s Children’s Awards.  The website is used in schools across the world to inspire children to invent their own magical animals and write stories about them.  The 10 part animated series has invited children across the UK to join in the creation of the show by drawing characters or background designs and suggesting plot points and dialogue for the show.  The series is animated by BAFTA winning studio, Karrot Entertainment (Sarah & Duck).

The creative team will introduce the concept of the show and explain how they work with thousands of contributions from children to create the final programme.  In addition to screening preview episodes and Q&A, the audience will be invited to draw their own creatures with super powers with the possibility of being included in future episodes of The Night Zookeeper.

Total event running time: approximately 2 hours

Recommended age: 7+

Members tickets will be available to book on Wednesday 13 February, 09:30.
Public tickets will go on sale on Friday 15 February, 12:30.
