This event, held at UCL IOE (London Knowledge Lab), invites children’s app designers, book publishers and game designers, as well as teachers, professionals and parents/caregivers, to discuss personalisation in children’s digital books. Personalisation involves the use of children’s own images, voiceovers, artwork (e.g. drawings) and texts. The ubiquity of handheld digital technologies and dramatic rise in the use of tablets among preschoolers, have led to a heightened commercial interest in personalised tablet and smartphone digital books for 3 to 5-year-old…
